These were both shot in California. Since then I have taken the drone to numerous other places around the country and outside of it.

Erik Olsen Drone Reel 2025
I take a drone with me on pretty much every shoot now. There are so many new opportunities to use drones in journalism. My drone work has been featured in many places on television and the Web, including PBS NOVA, The New York Times, CNN, National Geographic, Scientific American, Business Insider and more. Most of this reel is from my drone work while on assignment. The shots come from Indonesia, the Bahamas, New Zealand, Micronesia, Baja California, Mexico, California, Colorado, and Massachusetts.
